Error description

  • Running a BMP job with the NOTIFY= statement on the AREA /
FAILSAFE cards can cause the following to occur:
The BMP job is doing inserts and triggers the AREA card(that
has the NOTIFY= statement specified) which kicks off a
IQCSNTFY job for each insert. As the IQCSNTFY jobs start
multiplying, it seems to override the entire system and allows
no other overflow messages to be displayed.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A fix was made to set a timer for when  *
*                      a QCF NOTIFY job is to be started again *
*                      while running a BMP job. Prior to the   *
*                      fix, the influx of NOTIFY jobs          *
*                      exhausted the IMS system causing        *
*                      subsequent AREA and FAILSAFE cards from *
*                      being triggered.                        *
