    When the non-default value (default is no timeout) is used for a
    WebSocket Session MaxIdleTimeout, in some cases an internal
    session timer object may not be removed if the session is closed
    due to the timeout expiring.  If this happens to enough
    sessions, then the accumulating timer objects can cause the CPU
    to periodically spike.
    

Problem conclusion

  • WebSocket connection Timers are now always removed when the
    connection is closed due to the timer expiring.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 16.0.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
    delivery information:

Temporary fix

  • Do not set a value for the Session MaxIdleTimeout.  The default
    is to not have a value set for this parameter.
