Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' Batch Restart Program
    ADBTEP2 fails with:
    SYSTEM ABEND CODE 0C4   REASON CODE 00000004
    CEE3845I CEEDUMP Processing started.
    PLIDUMP was called from statement number 1019 at offset
    +00000208 from GETTABLEKEYINFO with entry address nnnnnnnn
    Information for enclave ADBTEP2
    when attempting to process an ADMIN ACCELERATOR RECREATE TABLES
    ON statement.

    *                 the table definitions added to the           *
    *                 accelerator.                                 *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When alter table, alter index or        *
    *                      remove/recreate tables in an            *
    *                      accelerator the jobs fail with SYSTEM   *
    *                      ABEND CODE 0C4.                         *

    The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' CM batch, Object Compare
    or ALT function jobs involving ALTering DB2 table definition,
    fail with:
    
    IBM0534S ONCODE=8094  Protection exception
       From entry point GETTABLEKEYINFO at statement 1019 at
       compile unit offset +nnnnnnnn at entry offset +nnnnnnnn at
       address nnnnnnnn.

  • Message ADB5258E  has been modified to display additional point
    of failure information.

      The recreate_accelerated_tables parameter specifies whether
      to automatically detect and recreate accelerated tables,
      in situations of DROP/CREATE or ALTER of accelerated tables
      in DB2, involving changes to its definition or partitions.
    
      Values: YES, NO
            YES - Recreate accelerated tables.
            NO - Do not recreate accelerated tables.
      Default:  YES
    
    REMOVE_ACCELERATED_TABLES:
      The remove_accelerated_tables parameter specifies whether
      to automatically detect and remove dropped DB2 tables
      involved in change management, from the accelerator.
    
      Values: YES, NO
            YES - Remove accelerated tables.
            NO - Do not remove accelerated tables.
      Default: YES
