Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS issues a message 'Invalid
object type' / 'ADB325 The specified line command is invalid for
the object type R' when customers issue the COUNT line command
against an ARCHIVE table on on panel ADB21T 'Tables, Views, and
Aliases'.

Local fix

  • Use the SEL line command and then the COUNT option on panel
ADB21TSE 'Build SQL SELECT Prototype' to obtain the data.
