Error description
0C4-4 abend occurred in CSQ9SCND and the problem is that while processing command parsing return codes and preparing error messages, storage is accessed beyond the end of a control block resulting in an attempt to access protected storage. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 0C4-04 abend has been detected in * * CSQ9SCND when processing command * * DISPLAY or SET without any other * * parameters. PCF commands with errors * * can generate this 0C4 abend. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** CSQ9SCND has a routine to check if the current command is a DISPLAY CHLAUTH or SET CHLAUTH command. This routine assumes that every command has at least two tokens (DISPLAY and CHLAUTH for example). There are commands that can have one token and they can generate the 0C4 abend when the routine moves the pointer for the second token beyond the end.
Problem conclusion
CSQ9SCND has been changed to check the number of tokens available before checking for the CHLAUTH commands. 100Y CSQ9SCND
