Error description

FFDC with java.lang.NullPointerException is reported by
logstashCollector-1.0 feature when the server is shutting
down.

Logstash collector feature sometimes generates an FFDC will
NullPointerException during server shutdown operation. During
shutdown when there are events in the queue, the logstash
collector makes an attempt to send these events to the logstash
server before shutting down. This event push is achieved
asynchronously by submitting it as a task to the executor
service in Liberty. Situations where the event push happens
after the executor service has shutdown will result in an
exception.

Problem conclusion

The code was modified to check for non availability of executor
service during server shtudown.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 16.0.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
