Error description

  • ClearQuest Web Welcome page does not show in local language
    after setting up local help.
    The issue is seen in Japanese environment.
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Install ClearQuest and ClearQuest Web
    When user access to the CQ Web at this point, user can see
    Welcome page in local language
    
    2) Delete all current help contents from
    http://(server)/help/updater/updatewar.jsp
    
    3) Install two help contents from the file
    http://public.dhe.ibm.com/software/rationalsdp/documentation/upd
    atesites/RCQ8.0.1_updateSite.zip
    IBM Rational ClearQuest Help
    IBM Rational ClearQuest Help - Translation
    
    4) Disable http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/cqhelp/v8r0m1 using
    http://(server)/help/remote/remotehelp.jsp to force CQ Web to
    use local contents.
    
    5) Access to the CQ Web through browser
    The Welcome page will be shown in English instead of the local
    language.

  • Create own page and set it up as the home page

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available in 9.0.1.1
    The ClearQuest Web Welcome page now shows in the browser's
    specified language even if CQ local help is setup.
