Starting an EBA on Java 8 may result in a failure with the
error:
 org.apache.aries.proxy.UnableToProxyException:
java.lang.ClassFormatError: JVMCFRE074 no Code attribute

This typically occurs on apps using blueprint.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A code change was made to the proxy subsystem to address the
failure which occurred when constructing a proxy for certain
interfaces while running on Java 8.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 8.5.5.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
