Error description

• When working in an IBM Rational ClearCase dynamic view, you may
  experience a Microsoft STOP error (BSOD) of NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
  (24), when using Visual Studio 2015 with Intel Inspector XE
  v2016.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * When creating a new ClearCase dynamic view, the command      *
  * syntax requires specification of a storage path for the view *
  * repository.  If the repository is on a local device, but the *
  * cleartool command line options for specifying storage        *
  * locations using the <-host, -hpath, -gpath> triplet is used  *
  * on Microsoft Windows, the storage path appears to be a       *
  * remote filesystem.  This may cause some I/O operations to    *
  * traverse a pathname in such a way which causes a Microsoft   *
  * STOP error (BSOD).                                           *

Problem conclusion

• The cleartool mkview command has been modified to prevent this
  incorrect storage path specification in ClearCase 8.0.1.16,
  9.0.0.6, and 9.0.1.2.
