APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • At product startup, getAddrInfo was called using the Sockets
Extended API. The Sockets Extended API does not include
    /etc/resolv.conf in the search order.
The getAddrInfo call has been modified to use the Unix System
Services API which includes /etc/resolv.conf in the search
    order.

Local fix

  • In the OPTIONS memember of the CONTROL data set, specify the IP
address rather than a host name for APPLIANCE_SERVER, or add
DDNAME SYSTCPD to the AUV started task and specify the
    appropriate TCPIP.DATA data set.
