Error description

  • The ftelog_tables_zos_bigint.sql is missing entries for the
table TRANSFER_ITEM_ATTRIBUTES along with its foreign key
constraint. It is also missing the TRANSACTION_LOG table and
two fields (PRIORITY and MESSAGE) from the "FTELOG"."CALL"
    table
    .
    Additional Symptoms:
    BFGDB0076E:
The logger has ended abnormally with return code 70.

Local fix

  • For a quick fix the customer could do as they suggested and
    copy the
definitions from the ftelog_tables_zos.sql file, changing the
    INTEGER
    columns into BIGINTs

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of IBM MQ Managed File Transfer V8 on
    z/OS.
It specifically applies to users of the MFT standalone database
logger who have chosen to use BIGINT data types in the logger's
    database tables.

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The "ftelog_tables_zos_bigint.sql" file is missing the
    "TRANSACTION_LOG" and "TRANSFER_ITEM_ATTRIBUTES" database tables
and fields from the "CALL" table that are need by the database
    logger.

The missing tables cause the database logger to fail with one of
    two possible errors:

    Error 1:
    --------------
BFGDB0003E: A problem occurred with the database. The database
    driver reported the following details:
SQL State [42704], Error Code [-204],
    Message [DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-204,

    SQLSTATE=42704,SQLERRMC=FTENPTS.TRANSACTION_LOG,
    DRIVER=3.65.117]
BFGDB0076E: The logger has ended abnormally with return code
    85.

    Error 2:
    --------------
BFGDB0052E: The database logger could not locate all necessary
database tables at startup. Missing table(s):
    [TRANSFER_ITEM_ATTRIBUTES]
BFGDB0005E: A serious error has occurred, and the logger will
stop. Messages in progress will be rolled back to the queue
manager. See the preceding log entry for details.
BFGDB0073E: The logger has ended abnormally with return code
    70.

    In addition the "ftelog_tables_zos_bigint_int-bigint.sql" file
is missing the "TRANSACTION_LOG" and "TRANSFER_ITEM_ATTRIBUTES"
database tables which prevents data in these tables being
transfered when an user migrates from the INTEGER schema to the
    BIGINT schema.
