PI57196: MULTIPLE GEOPKSRV OR GEOPFSRV ADDRESS SPACES ALLOWED TO START

Error description

• Multiple instances of the GDPS z/OS Proxy GEOPKSRV or GEOPFSRV
  address spaces may exist simultaneously. This prevents connec-
  tion to the current master controlling system.

  z/OS Proxy servers GEOPKSRV and GEOPFSRV can not connect to the
  current master controlling system when one or both tasks have
  been started twice.
  

Problem conclusion

• Servers GEOPKSRV and GEOPFSRV now use ENQ to prevent the start
  of a second instance of the task.
  RESTART REQUIRED
  This fix affects the GEOPKSRV task on the controlling systems,
  and the GEOPFSRV task on the foreign systems in a GDPS z/OS
  Proxy installation. It is not necessary to IPL the systems to
  activate the fix; a stop and restart of the GEOPKSRV and
  GEOPFSRV tasks will suffice. However, since the GDPS SGDPLOAD
  library is included in the linklist, a F LLA,REFRESH must be
  performed after the fix is installed and prior to restarting
  the task. Tasks should be stopped and restarted one at a time,
  and may be done in any order.
  DOCUMENTATION CHANGES
  Revisions to GDPS V3R12 Messages and Codes, ZG24-1756,
  to reflect new messages GEO2845I and GEO2846I.
  
  GEO2845I GDPS z/OS proxy server GEOPKSRV is already active
  Explanation: An attempt was made to issue a START command for
               GEOPKSRV but this task was found to be already
               running.
  Action:      Confirm that GEOPKSRV is started and working as
               expected. If not, cancel the task and once you are
               sure no instance of GEOPKSRV is running on a given
               system, re-issue the start command.

  GEO2846I GDPS z/OS proxy server GEOPFSRV is already active
  Explanation: An attempt was made to issue a START command for
               GEOPFSRV but this task was found to be already
               running.

               expected.  If not, cancel the task and once you are
               sure no instance of GEOPKSRV is running on a given
               system, re-issue the start command.
