Error description

  • Increase in performance time for a COBOL program compiled with
    OPT(1) or OPT(2). May also receive message IGYRC5122-U - A
recursive entry to the COBOL abort module occurred.
Abend u1122 also may be seen.

Local fix

  • Compile with OPT(0)

    ****************************************************************
The compiler was not able to process a large number of EXEC
CICS HANDLE statements efficiently due to flow analysis
complication which caused excessive compile time.

Problem conclusion

  • Compiler was changed to apply new optimization technique that
simplifies flow graph thus reducing compilation time.
