PI56127: ISSUES WITH USING A0000 FOR ABSOLUTE MIDNIGHT (START OF DAY)

• Client using A0000 for an absolute Midnight Time specification

  * USERS AFFECTED: All IBM HourGlass users using                *
  *                 HourGlass A0000 "Absolute Midnight"          *
  *                 (local) time adjustments.                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A0000 or TIME=A0000 or //HGA0000 etc.   *
  *                      HourGlass time adjustments were         *
  *                      intended to mean "Absolute Midnight",   *
  *                      for the local time.                     *
  *                                                              *
  *                      To be clear, these time adjustments     *
  *                      are intended to be at the start of the  *
  *                      day on chosen adjusted date, and not    *
  *                      the end of that adjusted date.          *
  *                                                              *
  *                      Also, to be clear, unlike other         *
  *                      HourGlass time adjustments with zero    *
  *                      hours and zero minutes, was NOT         *
  *                      intended to mean "Current Time".        *
  *                      Unfortunately, some of the HourGlass    *
  *                      code has accidentally yielded this      *
  *                      undesired result.                       *

  * FIX DESCRIPTION:                                            *
  *                      AGGCC and AGGPLT have been modified to *
  *                      stop "ignoring A0000" HourGlass time   *
  *                      adjustments during the CICS HourGlass  *
  *                      enablement function they implement,    *
  *                      and thus yielding "Current Real Local  *
  *                      Time" instead, except for ASKTIME      *
  *                      ABSTIME which already correctly        *
  *                      yielded "Absolute Midnight".           *
  *                                                             *
  *                      AGGCUST has been modified to accept    *
  *                      "hard coded" time adjustments with     *
  *                      zero hours and zero minutes, including *
  *                      A0000, without yeilding an error       *
  *                      message instead. However, other than   *
  *                      message instead. However, other than   *
  *                      A0000, these adjustments have no       *
  *                      different effect than the default,     *
  *                      which is "Current Time". And, of       *
  *                      course, just like other hard coded     *
  *                      time adjustments, any other time       *
  *                      adjustments from Control Elements or   *
  *                      from JCL via Programmer Name field or  *
  *                      HourGlass recognized DD Names, will    *
  *                      override these values.                 *

  *                      AGGELIG has been modified to accept    *
  *                      "hard coded" "Absolute Midnight" A0000 *
  *                      HourGlass time adjustments.  It has    *
  *                      also been modified to make sure it     *
  *                      ignores invalid programmer name field  *
  *                      HourGlass DD names.                    *

  *                      AGGLSPC has been modified to stop      *
  *                      ignoring A0000 HourGlass time          *
  *                      adjustments for PC Time Services and   *
  *                      integration patch requests.            *
