PI55616: SCREEN KDPPTHRD DOES NOT SORT ON ELAPSED TIME CORRECTLY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Screen KDPPTHRD displays the Elapsed time as a scaled string.
  That is when the elapsed time exceeds 24 hours will display as
  dd-hh:mm (days - hours:minutes). When the elapsed time has not
  exceeded 24 hours it will display as hh:mm:ss.nnn
  (hours:minutes:seconds.fraction).
  
  When sorting on this field, it is treated as a string. Because
  of the variation in display formatting, when there is a mix of
  threads that run longer than 24 hours and threads that have run
  less than 24 hours, the display will not sort correctly.
  
  Similar issues may be seen in other screens.
  

Local fix

• 1) determine from which library E3270 workspace KDPPTHRD is
  being loaded
  from. In your screen shot the screen name is followed by an *;
  eg,
  KDPPTHRD*. This generally means that this work space is being
  loaded
  from <hilev>.<rte>.UKANWENU and has already been modified
  
  2) make a back-up copy of screen KDPPTHRD
  
  3) Edit <hilev>.<rte>.UKANWENU. If the member does not exist
  copy
  <hilev>.<rte>.RKANWENU(KDPPTHRD) in to
  <hilev>.<rte>.UKANWENU(KDPPTHRD)
  
  4) Replace DISP_ET with THD_ET in SORTCOLS
  SORTCOLS='THD_ET, PLAN_NAME, AUTHID, TH_TYPE, /*@01C*/
  
  5) Add THD_ET to DISPLAYCOLS
  THD_ET(CAPTION="Int_Elapsed"),
  
  6) Save the member
  
  7) Cycle to the TOM address space
  
  You will know sort on Int_Elapsed (THD_ET). And for readability
  still
  view DISP_ET.
