  • SQLCODE904N RC00E7000E Invalid precision 33 when running query
    with FLOAT and DECIMAL on ACCELERATOR
    
    e.g. query has:
    
    ..DEC(FLOAT(col1)), 25, 10) -> get invalid precision
    ..DEC(FLOAT(col1)), 25, 8)  -> will run well
    

Local fix

  • try to lower decimal precision

    statement executed on an accelerator that contains DECODE or a
    CASE expression with a DECIMAL result data type.

Problem conclusion
