Error description

• When running an IBM Rational ClearCase "cleartool merge" or
  "cleartool diff" with the flags "-tiny" or "-window" on Linux
  the following error is returned:
  merge: Error: Unable to invoke "xterm": No such file or
  directory
  
  The error only occurs on Linux hosts that even with xterm
  installed.
  Tracing the command shows the following paths are searched:
  stat64("/usr/openwin/bin/xterm", 0xffe85cc8) = -1 ENOENT (No
  such file or directory)
  stat64("/usr/bin/X11/xterm", 0xffe85cc8) = -1 ENOENT (No such
  file or directory)
  
  If no xterm is found the error is returned.
  
  WORKAROUND:
  1. Do not use "-tiny" or "-window" flags with merge
  2. link or install xterm into /usr/bin/X11
