PI54148: DB2 ADMIN TOOL DDL & GEN LINE COMMANDS DO NOT DISPLAY INLINE LENGTH FOR LOB COLUMNS, NO WARNING MSG ADB1945W WITH DDL COMMAND

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When DB2 RRF subsystem parameter is set to DISABLE, a REORG and
  ALTER can create a table with RRF format. With DB2 Admin Tool
  APAR PI06386, if the RRF setting is DISABLE, DDL & GEN line
  commands do not generate the INLINE LENTGH clause, but there
  should a warning message ADB1945W to generated for the user.
  No such message is displayed when 'DDL' line command is issued
  against a REORG/ALTERed to RRF table.
  
  Also, this APAR will add the INLINE LENGTH clause to the DDL
  but comment it out.

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved. A new warning message ADB315W /
  msgadb315w is generated and the INLINE LENGTH is commented
  out.
  
  ADB315W  INLINE LENGTH for LOB column is commented out in
  DDL because the zparm SPRMRRF is set to disable.
  
  Explanation: INLINE LENGTH for LOB column is commented
  out in DDL because the zparm SPRMRRF is set to disable.
  
  System action: Processing continues.
  
  User response: Check the comment line for INLINE LENGTH
  and delete the comment if you want the INLINE LENGTH clause.
