Error description

• During normal STOP of a WebSphere server, the following SVCDUMP
  message was emitted:
  IEA794I SVC DUMP HAS CAPTURED: DUMPID=031 REQUESTED BY JOB
  (BBONAGNT) DUMP TITLE=COMPON=WEBSPHERE Z/OS,  COMPID=5655I3500,
  ISSUER=BBORADMP, ABEND IN PC ROUTINE BBOCLSPC
  
  Note that the server being stopped is called BBOS0001, and
  BBONAGNT is the nodeagent for this server.
  The server does complete its normal shutdown, and the nodeagent
  does not terminate.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Application server for z/OS   *
  *                      receives an ABEND0C4 during shutdown.   *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  A controller was stopping and had proceeded far enough to have
  freed some control structures.  At this time a Local
  Communication (LCOM) request for a new connection was made.
  This invoked the PC routine, bboclspc.  Under the
  PC routine an ABENDS0C4 occurred referencing the BOAX
  structure.  The BOAX was freed as part of the server shutting
  down.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code was modified in the LCOM PC routine, bboclspc, to skip
  the reference to the BOAX if it detects that the server is
  shutting down.
  
  APAR PI53425 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
  8.0.0.13 and 8.5.5.9 of WebShere Application Server.
