Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application *
    * Server using the administrative console to *
    *                  manage Group roles.                         *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The role of auditor could show up *
    * twice when displaying group roles *
    *                      PRIMARYADMINID.                         *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Don't modify roles for PRIMARYADMINID as *
    * the adminTask does not allow changes *
    *                  anyway.                                     *
    ****************************************************************
    The PRIMARYADMINID group is treated as a group when it is
    actually a special subject. This causes the roles assigned
    to the special subject AND group to be displayed, which causes
    the auditor role to be displayed twice.

Problem conclusion

  • The console now treats the PRIMARYADMINID as a special subject
    (because it is) so that it will not appear that roles are
    mapped twice. The adminCommand that the console calls does
    not allow modifications to this special subject.
