PI51298: CT/ENGINE ABEND S000 U2008 AT AF99782E (KDPAUTOD.KDPASSCT+416)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• We have two LPARs in our SYSPLEX: HERA and ZEUS. HERA was
  upgraded and
  ZEUS is still at OMEGAMON for DB2 V5.2.  OMEGAMON for z/OS and
  OMEGAMON
  for CICS are both at V5R3; OMEGAMON for IMS is still at V5R1.
  On the TOM on ZEUS I see all of the DB2 subsystems along with
  data from
  the other monitors. On the TOM on HERA I see no DB2 subsystems
  but I do
  see data from the other monitors..
  

Local fix

• shut down the agents, the TEMS and the OMPE collector.
  Then restart them in this order
  1. the OMPE collector. Make sure the collector is up and running
     before moving to the next item
  2. the TEMS
  3. finally, start the agents

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  After an IPL, if the agent address looks for a control block
  that the collector address space hasn't had a chance to build
  yet, the agent will abend.

  Add code to allow the agent to wait for the collector to
  build its registration table.
