PI50674: IMS IS SHUTDOWN DURING RECOVERDM RUN AND THE JOB OUTPUT STATES THAT MESSAGES HAVE BEEN RELOADED WHEN THEY HAVEN'T BEEN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• During a RECOVERDM job run the following messages are received
  in the RECOVERDM job output when IMS is shutdown:
   IQC7003E - RC=0010  QCF CRITICAL ERROR IN MODULE  IQCBTQCF IMS
   RC=00000010,RSN=ERROR
   IQC7017E PROCESSING HAS STOPPED DUE TO SYNCPOINT ERROR
   IQC4998I PIMS41CR RC=0000 AIBRC=0000 AIBRS=0000
  These messages are expected in such case, when IMS is shutdown,
  but can differ depending on where IMS and the job completes.
  
  In this case the job output ends with RC=00 and states that
  messages have been reloaded when in fact they have not been
  reloaded.  Adjustments will be made to have the job end with
  RC=08 in such case to notify the user the messages passed to
  IMS have not been committed.

  RC=08 in such case to notify the user the messages passed to
  IMS have not been committed.
  

Problem conclusion

• When a Syncpoint Error occurs during the LOAD step of a
  RECOVERDM job or during a LOAD job, the user will be notified
  with 2 new messages.
  1. IQC7020E No messages passed to IMS have been committed
  2. IQC5516I No messages passed to IMS have been committed
  Also, if a Syncpoint Error does occur, the LOAD step will
  end with RC=08 instaed of RC=00 as it did before.
