  * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS *
  *                 Version 4 Release 2 users ( FMID=H1J0420 )   *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR fixes following two problems: *
  *                      - IMS HP Image Copy does not issue      *
  *                        necessary IMS Command through the IMS *
  *                        Tools Online System Interface(TOSI),  *
  *                        even if the target database is        *
  *                        accessed by other applications with   *
  *                        the update mode.  As a result, IMS HP *
  *                        Image Copy can not obtain database    *
  *                        access authorization for Batch Image  *
  *                        Copy process with DFS047A message     *
  *                        ( MSGDFS047A ) for DL/I database      *
  *                        (DL/I DB) and High Availability Large *
  *                        Databases (HALDB), or with DFS3710A   *
  *                        message ( MSGDFS3710A ) for Data      *
  *                        Entry Database(DEDB).                 *
  *                                                              *
  *                      - The Data Set Statistics report shows  *
  *                        incorrect value for DATA SET GROUP    *
  *                        NUMBER and AREA NUMBER.               *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  This APAR fixes following two problems:
  - IMS HP Image Copy does not issue necessary IMS Command
    through the IMS Tools Online System Interface(TOSI), even if
    the target database is accessed by other applications with
    the update mode.  As a result, IMS HP Image Copy can not
    obtain database access authorization for Batch Image Copy
    process with DFS047A message ( MSGDFS047A ) for DL/I database
    (DL/I DB) and High Availability Large Databases (HALDB),
    or with DFS3710A message ( MSGDFS3710A ) for Data Entry
    Database(DEDB).
    This problem occurs under the following conditions:
    - The target database is accessed by other applications with
      the update mode.
    - More than one DL/I database, HALDB partition, DEDB area
      name start with same character strings and one of their
      name is comprised in others in ICEIN DD statement.
      And longer target database name appears earlier.
    - TOIAUTO=Y|O or TOIAUTO_Q=Y are specified in ICEIN DD
      statement.

  - The Data Set Statistics report shows incorrect value for DATA
    SET GROUP NUMBER and AREA NUMBER when the following condition
    are satisfied.
    - FABJSTAT DD is specified.
    - At DL/I database:
      - The target database is a data set group(DSG).
      - More than one of data sets in the DSG are expected to be
        processed, and these DD name start with same character
        strings.
      - The one of their DD name is comprised in others.
      - The longer DD name appears earlier.
    - At DEDB:
      - More than one of area in DEDB are expected to be
        processed, and these area name start with same character
        strings.
      - The one of their area name is comprised in others.
      - The longer area name appears earlier.
  
  The cause of the problem is that IMS HP Image Copy does not
  creating process, IMS HP Image Copy compares the data field
  value to the data in the control block that has been created.
  However it compares them without consideration for the length
  of data name.  As a result, IMS HP Image Copy determines that
  same data has been already existed in the control block.
  Then, the necessary IMS command process is not done or
  incorrect value is reported.
  

Problem conclusion

• By this APAR, IMS Image Copy compares the data field value to
  the data in the control block with consideration for the length
  of data name. And, IMS HP Image Copy determines the correct
  data in the control block.
