APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The environment has a proxy in front of Intelligent Management
  enabled plug-in. The proxy sets $WSRA with the value of the
  client IP address. Plug-in changed its value to the IP address
  of proxy before forwarding the request to the backend server.

  When the trusted proxy feature is enabled, and a server
  connects through the Plugin-in, the IP address should be
  validated and header information created by the trusted proxy
  should be passed unaltered to the application server. It was
  observed, however, that the trusted proxy list was being
  ignored and header information was being overwritten by the IM
  plugin.
  

Problem conclusion

• Identified and modified the code to store trusted proxy
  information and preserve the data in the header when the
  request comes from a trusted proxy.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.8.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
