PI49349: COUNTRY CODE HR FOR CROATIA IS NOT ON THE LIST OF SWIFT VALIDATION RULE C2 THAT MAKES FIELD 33B MANDATORY

Error description

• Explanation from the SWIFT support (case 10437329): Croatia (HR)
  is NOT on the list of SWIFT validation rule C2 for SR2015.
  The rule C2 states:
  If the country codes of the Sender's and the Receiver's BICs are
  within the following list:
  AD, AT, BE, BG, BV, CH, CY, CZ, DE, DK, ES, EE, FI, FR, GB, GF,
  GI, GP, GR, HU, IE, IS, IT, LI, LT, LU, LV, MC, MQ, MT, NL, NO,
  PL, PM, PT, RE, RO, SE, SI, SJ, SK, SM, TF and VA,
  then field 33B is mandatory, otherwise field 33B is optional
  (Error code(s): D49).
  
  So field 33B is optional if the country code of either the
  sender's or the receiver's BIC is HR.
  When MERVA receives a SWIFT output message, the user is
  erroneously prompted to fill in the field 33B after filling 32A.
  When the user has filled field 32A but not 33B, MERVA routes
  the output message to an error queue using error message
  DSL883I MFS04141 MFS=GET/NET ID=         RC=04 RS=141.
