    1. Stop Liberty

    2. Start Liberty
    /S ABCLIB14
    3. Access z/OS Connect services on URL:

    ices
    
    4. Reported are NO services:

    Also the clients report errors.
    
    Restart with workaround resulting in services available:
    1. Stop Liberty
    /P ABCLIB14
    1A. *** Edit server.xml, no changes, just  save  and quit
    2. Start Liberty

Problem summary

    A race condition in Liberty Profile configuration processing
    could result in incorrect configuration for z/OS connect
    services.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Liberty Profile configuration processing was fixed so that it
    will no longer be affected by the race condition on a warm start
    of a Liberty server.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 8.5.5.8.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
    delivery information:

Temporary fix

  • The problem can be avoided by restarting the server with the -
    clean option.
