Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *
    *                  Server Liberty Profile version 8.5.5        *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Channel Framework does not handle   *
    *                      requests succesfully during shutdown.   *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    During server shutdown the Channel Framework does not handle
    outstanding requests but instead stops immediately after server
    shutdown is requested. It does not wait for a quiesce time
    period to handle current requests before shutdown.
    
     A request may fail in an unexpected way directly after the
    "CWWKE1101I: Server quiesce complete." message.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The TCPChannel code was modified to allow quiesce to complete
    before completing server shutdown.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 8.5.5.8.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
