APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IWAE0006E Archive is not a valid EJB JAR File because the
  deployment descriptor can not be found (case sensitive):
  META-INF/ejb-jar.xml
  causes the application server start to fail.

  When an application without an XML deployment descriptor is
  started, in some cases the server will utilize an incorrect
  path when attempting to process its classes for module
  annotations.  This results in a failure when starting the
  affected application
  

Problem conclusion

• The application start logic was corrected to utilize the
  appropriate binaries path for application object creation.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.10.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
  page for delivery information:
