Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users of OSGi * * applications * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Files accumulate in the * * expandedBundles * * directory under the profile when * * running OSGi wsadmin commands. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Several parts of the code that perform configuration steps for OSGi applications were not explicitly closing all the input and output streams that they opened. Since the file descriptors remained open, subsequent actions to delete the files failed.
Problem conclusion
The code that performs configuration steps for OSGi applications was modified so that all opened input and output streams were closed correctly. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.9.
