If GDPS debug is active, GEODBG1 messages from VPCEDEVC are observed indicating PIPE DEVSERV query unsuccessful. - GEO225E for CPCNAME.LPARNAME mismatch occurs if D M=CPU or D M=CORE returns CPC_UNKNOWN_NAME during GDPS initialization. - When panel VPCPFLFX displays a long script statement (more than 60 characters) that has a syntax error, the second line of the statement display is not colored red. - Running GDPSIVHP without the GEOZOSP operator defined gives IRX0040I for 'Incorrect call to routine' in VPCLIVHP. - Message CNM421I for INVALID COMMAND VPCEVTSQ ENCOUNTERED appears in GDPS/XRC Netlog during Monitor2 processing. - Panel VPCWPFYX indicates 'Buttons are locked. Please check your log' after a manual reset of a production system from the HMC caused a takeover prompt. - GEO112E message text is truncated in GDPS/MzGM 4-site. Text appears as 'GEO112E GDPS Takeover prompt genera'. - GEO101E message help panel has formatting errors and typos. - Help panels and documentation are missing for messages GEO1209E, GEO1210E and GEO1211I. Problems addressed in GDPS release 3.11 and 3.12: - When the GDPSIVHP command is issued on a system with NetView V5R4 or lower, REXX errors occur and the results panel is not displayed. - Panel VPCPMST1 may display the wrong LSS pair with red color. - After using the V action on panel VPCPMSG1, the original positioning on the panel is lost, and the top of list is displayed. - GDPS_CHECK_GRS gives an invalid exception when SFM policy is inactive and/or aggregate SFM weights are similar in site1 and site2. GEOH065E message indicates that GRS structure ISGLOCK is allocated in wrong coupling facility site instead of indicating that the Health Check cannot determine appropriate GRS structure coupling facility. Problems addressed in GDPS release 3.10, 3.11, and 3.12: - When the XDRSTOP command is issued, the verification panel VPCPSTD6 may have incorrect or missing text. - GDPS/GM and GDPS/MGM DASD Configuration processing may incorrectly display panel VPCPCFGX indicating 'current XDISK-definition(s) do NOT match with the new config'. Netlog shows GEOTRC messages from VPCMDINI or VPCNDINI CompareXdisk indicating 'Number old XDISKs' greater than 'Number new XDISKs'. This can occur if new LSSSET statements are added or removed in the middle of an existing GEOMPARM. - GDPS/MGM incorrectly requires specification of MSSRSITE=YES in GEOMPARM for configurations with B-devices in the alternate subchannel set. This should be required only if GMFC is in the alternate subchannel set. - If a system is IPL'd with the wrong subchannel set, the GEO059E SDF alert may be lost due to the system having been reset, thereby leaving the user with no record of why the reset occurred. - MONITOR QHADISABLE, when used in a GDPS/XRC batch script, does not properly disable QHA monitoring, and an erroneous GEO274W alert may be raised. - When clearing a prior GEO597E alert for xDR configuration error, it appears as if a new alert is being issued. - VPCPFLFX panel messaging is unclear when verifying the local initiator for remote script execution, and client has defined partner element to the wrong sysplex. - GDPS/GM does not properly recognize 971/97E and 981/98E (DS8880) disk storage systems.
Problem conclusion
