When java.security contains security.provider.1=com.ibm.crypto.hdwrCCA.provider.IBMJCECCA renewing a certificate can fail with Error occured while renewing certificate default:com.ibm.websphere.management.cmdframework.CommandExcepti on: com.ibm.crypto.hdwrCCA.provider.JCECCARuntimeException: Hardware error from call CSNDDSV returnCode 8 reasonCode 11008

The verify call was being called without specify the provider to use while verifing.
Problem conclusion
Need to provide the current default provider when verifying a certificate and not assume the configuration's provider list is in the right order to pick up the correct provider. APAR PI46800 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs 8.0.0.12 and 8.5.5.9 of WebSphere Application Server.
