PI46793: WHEN A PROGRAM-SWITCH TRANSACTION ABENDS AND IS RE-QUEUED, THE ORIGINAL COMPLETION CODE IS NOT BEING RESET

Error description

• When a Program-switch transaction abends and is re-queued, IMS
  PA clones an internal record to enable reporting of the
  re-queued transaction, unfortunately the original completion
  code is not being reset resulting in the incorrect results being
  observed in the reports such as this Transaction report for one
  case that showed strange results:

  An invalid completion code may be reported for a
  program-switch transaction if it abends and is queued again
  for subsequent processing. The requeuedtransaction may be
  reported with the original completion code.
  

Problem conclusion

• If a program-switch transaction abends and the
  PROGRAMSWITCH(YES) option is specified for IMS PA reporting
  (the default), IMS PA clones the internal transaction record
  to enable reporting of the requeued transaction while
  retaining the original transaction information. In some
  circumstances the requeued transaction may be reported with
  the completion code from the original abended transaction.
