Error description

  • The TCz DISCOVER process may lead to entries in the DISCOVER
    dataset, and hence, the TCz DATASTOR, that include binary zeros
    for some DB2 LOADLIB fields. These fields may cause extra DD
    statements to be generated in JCL showing a blank DSN:
      //  DD DISP=SHR,DSN=

    OTHER KEYWORDS:
    Problem shows up in the next product that is DISCOVER'd
    in the Tools Customizer product COMPID: 5655TCZ00

Local fix

  • Manually edit the JCL to remove the blank DSN lines or use the
    following steps to remove the bad Loadlib entries and then
    regenerate the JCL:
    1. Edit the DB2 entry in TCz.
    2. Place the cursor on the 'More' following the DB2 Load Library
       field and hit enter.
    3. Enter a SPACE in the Value parameter on every line that shows
       no value, hit enter and PF3.
