Error description

  • Two issues addresssed:
    1. COLDSTART report requires Transit Option BMPSYNC(YES).
Retro-fit a change from IMS PA V4.4 which sets BMPSYNC(YES)
when the COLDSTART report is requested.
Add message IPI0355W (Note: this is a "W"arning message and
will result in RC=4) to indicate that the BMPSYNC option has
been changed if it is set to BMPSYNC(NO), the default.
    2. Reporting of BMP to MPP program-switch transactions may
       contain incorrect Transit times.

This APAR addresses the following issues:
    1. COLDSTART report requires Transit Option BMPSYNC(YES).
    2. Reporting of BMP to MPP program-switch transactions may
       contain incorrect Transit times.

Problem conclusion

  • The following changes have been made for the above issues:
    1. Retro-fit change from IMS PA V4.4 which sets BMPSYNC(YES)
when the COLDSTART report is requested.
    2. Add message IPI0355W (Note: this is a "W"arning message and
will result in RC=4) to indicate that the BMPSYNC option has
been changed if it is set to BMPSYNC(NO), the default.
    3. Address an issue in BMP to MPP program-switch reporting
where, if the Region type for a transaction is not known at
the time of reporting, resulted in some Transit times being
       incorrectly calculated.
    4. Other improvements in BMP to MPP program-switch reporting
       regarding parent/originating transaction handling.
