PI43834: CANNOT NAVIGATE SOURCE PACKAGE WHEN IN VIEW MEMBER TREES USING DYNAMIC QUERY MODE.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The issue happens when navigating through the package source in
  Report Studio with the View Member Trees selection. Expanding
  any dimension reveals the top level member. Expanding the top
  level member attempts to expand but produces an error:
  
  The server returned an unrecognizable metadata response.
  
  Now, when changing the view to View Metadata Tree, expanding the
  same dimension and exploring the members produces no errors or
  issues. Once you have completed the navigation in this view, you
  can go back to the View Member Trees view and now are able to
  expand the same Dimension and top level member.
  
  The issue will not be reproducible anymore unless a brand new
  browser session is created or the Query Service cache is
  cleared.
  
  This issue only happens in DQM. CQM works without issue.

• Use CQM or navigate package in View Metadata Tree view
