Error description
New function to allow storing translated strings in WCM. When I create design content (e.g. page components such as slideshows, lists, video teasers) I want to reuse the same design content but have the page content show strings in the correct language. The solution for this in WCM is text providers. However, currently the translations for these text provider is typically stored in a JAR inside a web applications. As part of this story we will allow such translations to be stored in WCM. This means the translated content can be syndicated, workflowed and versioned along with the design content. It also means that you do not need J2EE skills to create the translated content - a web designer can now easily do this. This is helpful on the Cloud - these translations can be done in a browser, without requiring access to the server file system. This enhancement allows you to create a content or site area with the keyword "ibm.wcm.TextProvider" which will be exposed as a text provider for use to set item titles or descriptions, or by using the [Plugin:TextProvider] tag.
