Error description

Tracing of an EJB interceptor shows that the interceptor is not
being called intermittently.

*                      activate without any interceptors or    *
*                      with the wrong interceptor              *

A class or method that has CDI interceptors associated with it
will intermittently run without any interceptors being
triggered or with the wrong interceptors being triggered.

Problem conclusion

An internal classes used to drive CDI was being assigned the
wrong bean. This is because the fallback method of aquiring
the bean was called before the default method. This
misordering was fixed.

APAR PI42311 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
8.5.5.11 and 8.0.0.13 of WebSphere Application Server.
