Error description

• When you click Applications > Application Types > WebSphere
  enterprise applications > application_name > Session management
  > Distributed environment settings > Memory-to-memory
  replication link, you will see the following error.

  In the SystemOut.log of dmgr, you will see the following error
  stack.
  ------------------
  SRVE0068E: Uncaught exception created in one of the service
  methods of the servlet
  /secure/layouts/dynamicSelectionLayout.jsp in application
  isclite. Exception created : java.lang.NullPointerException
   at
  _ibmjsp.secure.layouts._dynamicSelectionLayout._jspService(_dyna
  micSelectionLayout.java:751)

Local fix

• At Applications > Application Types > WebSphere
  enterprise applications > application_name > Session management
  page, click OK button.
  If you click Apply and Save on this page, you will see configs
  element in deployment.xml of the application. Once this element
  is added, the issue will not happen.
  

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The panel to select the replication     *
  *                      domain for memory to memory             *
  *                      replication throws an exception.        *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The console code expected an element to already exist in the
  configuration to display the configured replication domains.
  This configuration element did not need to exist for the
  console to display defaults.
  

Problem conclusion

• The console uses defaults when displaying memory to memory
  replication configuration when the configuration elements do
  not yet exist in the config.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 7.0.0.39, 8.0.0.11, 8.5.5.7.  Please refer to the
