PI40773: Error CWWKF1219E running featureManager find adminCenter

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Attempting to run "featureManager find" command through a
  proxy.
  Defined the proxy settings in repositories.properties as so:
  proxyHost=proxy.hostname.com
  proxyPort=8080
  proxyUser=user1
  proxyPassword={xor}zzzzzz
  
  Running ./featureManager find adminCenter
  fails with"
  "CWWKF1219E: Failed to connect to the IBM WebSphere Liberty
  Repository because the repository is closed or the
  repository
  server cannot be reached."
  

Local fix

• (1) Create a properties file with the below:
  apiKey=75621234192
  repository.url= https://asset-websphere.ibm.com/ma/v1
  
  (2) export
  JVM_ARGS=-Drepository.description.url=<urlToPropertiesFile>
  
  (3) Retry featureManager find

  A system is behind a firewall and the proxy information is set
  in the wlp/etc/repositories.properties to access the IBM
  WebSphere Liberty Repository, but when you run the following
  command:
  
   featureManager find adminCenter-1.0
  
  the following error is shown:
  
   CWWKF1219E: Failed to connect to the IBM WebSphere Liberty
  Repository because the repository is closed or the repository
  server cannot be reached.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem only happens on fix pack 8.5.5.5 because the
  previous fix packs do not support proxy setting.
  
  Code has been corrected so that the command will run correctly
  with the proxy setting.
  
  The fix for this APAR was targeted for inclusion in fix pack
  8.5.5.6.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for

Temporary fix

• 1. Create a properties file with the following:
   apiKey=75621234192
   repository.url=https://asset-websphere.ibm.com/ma/v1
  
  2. Before run the featureManager command, run the following
   Windows:  set JVM_ARGS=-
  Drepository.description.url=file:/C:/temp/<properties file name>
  Unix:   export JVM_ARGS=-
  Drepository.description.url=file:/usr/tmp/<properties file
  name>
