  com.ibm.ws.management.suppressPortScan set to
  true is not stopping port scanning done in getUniquePort() in
  EndpointConfigHelper.java

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During server creation, WebSphere might *
  *                      attempt to open ports to assure they are*
  *                      not in use by other applications.       *
  *                      This can trigger security warnings in   *
  *                      some environments. APAR PM96838 added   *
  *                      ability to disable port scanning. This  *
  *                      APAR extends that ability to web servers*
  *                      as well.                                *

  * RECOMMENDATION:  Install a fixpack containing this APAR.     *
  ****************************************************************
  During server creation, WebSphere might attempt to open ports
  to assure they are not in use by other applications. This can
  trigger security warnings in some environments.  A JVM argument
  was added in APAR PM96838 so the port check can be disabled.
  This APAR extends that ability to web servers as well.
  

Problem conclusion

• APAR PM96838 added the ability to disable port scanning during
  application server creation.  This APAR extends that ability to
  web servers as well. For additional details regarding the
  ability to disable port scanning, see PM96838.
  
  APAR PI40568 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Pack
  8.5.5.8 of WebSphere Application Server.
