APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Trying to set Maintenance Mode to "false" with this command:
  
  AdminTask.setMaintenanceMode ('xdaps31a1','[-name arctis_1
  -mode false]')
  
  fails with the following error in the log:
  
  AsyncCommandC 3   _checkResult
  result=CommandResultImpl:{result=[],
  throwable=com.ibm.websphere.management.cmdframework.InvalidParam
  eterValueException: ADMF0003E: Invalid parameter value false
  for parameter mode for command setMaintenanceMode., warnings=[]}
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Exception occurs when trying the use    *
  *                      optional '-mode false' parameter to     *
  *                      unset maintenance mode on a server.     *

  WebSphere Application Server documentation indicates that a
  user can unset the maintenance mode of a server in wsadmin
  with the command:
  AdminTask.setMaintenanceMode('node', '[-name server -mode
  false]')
  When the user ran this command an invalid parameter exception
  was thrown telling the user that false was an invalid mode.
  

Problem conclusion

• The command was modified so that false is now accepted as a
  valid parameter to the command.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.6.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
