Error description

Due to a defect in the MVFS, a process running IBM Rational
ClearCase may not receive proper notification when a NFS lock,
it is waiting for is released.  This may cause multiple
ClearCase processes to hang as they try to access locks held by
the first process.

Problem conclusion

A locking protocol was modified in the ClearCase MVFS
filesystem, to eliminate a possible situation in which waiters
for a lock in NFS were not notified when it had been released.
