• DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS should issue an error message
  when processing a Change that contains drop primary unique index
  without related table definition present in the CHANGE

  *                 defined on the table.                        *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When analyzing a change which contains  *
  *                      a DROP INDEX statement to drop a        *
  *                      primary or unique index, but the        *
  *                      associated table that has a primary     *
  *                      key constraint or unique key            *
  *                      constraint defined on it and is         *
  *                      within the change scope, the DROP       *
  *                      INDEX statement fails with a            *
  *                      SQLCODE=-669 at run time.               *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The DROP INDEX statement cannot drop a primary index or unique
  index if there is a primary key constraint or unique key
  constraint that is defined on the table.  When applying
  changes in CM RUN, the DROP INDEX statement fails with a
  SQLCODEN669 / SQLCODE=-669:
  
  -669 THE OBJECT CANNOT BE EXPLICITLY DROPPED.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.

  ADB7220E
      The index <index_name> cannot be explicitly dropped as
      there is a primary key or unique key defined on it which
      is not in the current processing scope.
  
  Explanation
      The index cannot be dropped using the DROP INDEX
      statement as there is a primary key or unique key defined
      on it which would result in a SQLCODEN669 / SQLCODE=-669
      error.
