  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS when using DDL command to
    produce BASE DDL in CM - Manage Versions incorrectly creates
    ADMIN ALTER IMPLICIT statement (panelid ADB2C41)

Local fix

  • Manual edit of the produced DDL to remove ADMIN ALTER IMPLICIT
    statement is the workaround when using BASE DDL to run in SPUFI

    When using the DDL line command to generate DDL of a base
    version on panel ADB2C41, the output of the DDL contains the
    following alter statement:

    ADMIN ALTER IMPLICIT LOB TABLESPACE
      FOR TABLE >table-name<
        COLUMN(>coltype_dbclob_1m<)
      BUFFERPOOL BP0      ;

    If the generated DDL is used as input to Object Compare,
    the Object Compare job ends with a Return Code 8 /
    RC=8 and error messages ADB8052E / msgadb8052e and
    ADB0006E / msgadb0006e:

    ADB8052E A change was found for >table_name< but
    no base definition was found.

    ADB0006E ADBCCM - Error(s) found.

    If the customer uses the DDL in SPUFI, it fails with a
    SQLCODE=-104 / SQLCODEN104 error message.
