Error description

  • A Message Broker Execution Group restarts when it attempts to
make an SSL Request Connection with the following error message
indicating a ClassNotFoundException for the com.ibm.jsse2.qc
    class:

    +BIP7050E (Msg 1/1) MQ11BRK EG3 71 FAILED TO LOCATE JAVA CLASS
    com.ibm.jsse2.qc.
    +BIP2121E (Msg 1/2) MQ11BRK EG3 71 THE THREAD BOOTSTRAP CODE
CAUGHT AN 140 UNHANDLED EXCEPTION ON THREAD NUMBER
    '1882264950706012231' WITH NAME ' SOAPNodesSampleConsumerFlow'.
    +BIP4374S (Msg 2/2) MQ11BRK EG3 71 AN UNEXPECTED EXCEPTION HAS
OCCURRED IN THE JAVA API FRAMEWORK.

This exception occurs when the JRE is updated to a fixpack of
Java 7 SR8 FP10 or above on IBM Integration Bus V9.0 and a https
request is made through a HTTP(Async)Request or
    SOAP(Async)Request node.

    A ClassNotFoundException for 'com.ibm.jsse2.SSLSocketImpl' on
WebSphere Message Broker V8.0 can also be seen when APAR IC99240
is applied and the JRE is upgraded to Java 6.0 SR 16 or above
and a https request is made.

Local fix

  • Revert back to an earlier fixpack of Java.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
An execution group restarts when it attempts to make an SSL

    +BIP7050E (Msg 1/1) MQ11BRK EG3 71 FAILED TO LOCATE JAVA CLASS

    '1882264950706012231' WITH NAME ' SOAPNodesSampleConsumerFlow'.
    +BIP4374S (Msg 2/2) MQ11BRK EG3 71 AN UNEXPECTED EXCEPTION HAS
OCCURRED IN THE JAVA API FRAMEWORK.

This occurs because the broker relies on hard coded JSSE class
and method names which change after applying certain JRE
    updates.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

Problem conclusion

  • The product no longer relies on hard coded class and method
names for interrogating SSL sockets and instead finds the
    methods it requires dynamically.
