Error description

  • ABENDS0C4 HFPVICI0 X'A3E' or HFPVCMP0 X'3E0' after APAR PI35883
PTF UI26182 is installed, running FPA Analyze.

After installing APAR PI35883, a new code path might be taken,
which in turn, can intermittently cause the above mentioned
S0C4's to occur only when the work areas size is greater than
    the page boundary.

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
When FPA ANALYZE uses image copy compressed by IDRC as input,
it miscalculates transfer data size from/to DATASPACE, and when
this size exceeds the page boundary, FPA ANALYZE (includes
CSRCESRV macro called by FPA functions) abends with S0C4.

The miscalculation affects the following FPA functions:
      - ANALYZE
      - UNLOAD
      - EXTRACT
      - CHANGE

In addition, FPA ANALYZE that uses image copy compressed by IDRC
as input might check CIs incorrectly, issue the following error
    messages:
      - Error details -
0120: INCORRECT RBA VALUE IN CI AT RBA: xxxxxxxx
              (RBA VALUE: xxxxxxxx OFFSET: yyyy)
0101: INCORRECT BLK TYPE ID IN CI AT RBA: xxxxxxxx
              - CI BYPASSED (DATA VALUE: nn OFFSET: yyyy)

Problem conclusion

  • FPA has been modified to calculate the transfer data size
correctly when it uses image copy compressed by IDRC as input.
