PI38262: HPU BEHAVES AS IF ULUNIEXP WAS SET TO 100

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If An unload that involves a CCSID conversion from a
  non-UTF8 CCSID to a UTF8 CCSID and does not specify
  UNICODE_EXPANSION_RATIO produces unexpectedly long records.
  
  This occurs if the genuine INZUTIL member from the parmlib has
  been unduly altered after the regular setting through Tools
  Customizer either of the following ways:
  
  - the value in ULUNIEXP = value has been removed
    (i.e. replaced by blanks)
  - the line with  ULUNIEXP = has been removed
  - an asterisk has been placed in the first column of
    the line with ULUNIEXP = value
  
  In such a case, DB2 HPU behaves as if ULUNIEXP was set to 100.
  where the default value 1 should be used.
  Although this situation is a misuse case, the expected default
  value (i,.e,. 1) should be taken into account.

Local fix

• Refresh the INZUTIL member by submitting the INZTVAR
  installation job generated from Tools Customizer to restore the
  intended setting for VUU068/ULUNIEXP.
