APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • APC will do checks every cycle of the value of
minTimeBetweenPlacement. However, if a min or max is violated
for a dynamic cluster, it will continue to wait the minimum
placement time before taking action on those violations.

    ****************************************************************
Application placement controller (APC) does not respond
immediately if the user modifies the minimum/maximum number of
instances or puts the node in maintenance mode if the time
specified for property minTimeBetweenPlacement has not expired.

Problem conclusion

  • Changes were made for APC to respond to user driven actions
such as changes to minimum or maximum number of instances and
putting the node in maintenance mode regardless of whether the
time specified for APC property minTimeBetweenPlacement has
    expired.
