PI38162: CAE SERVER CAN FAIL TO START IF THE EVENTS.TABLE FILE IN THE BBDB DIRECTORY IS TOO BIG

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If the events.table file in the bbdb directory gets too big, the
  CAE Server can fail to start and the CAE Server log will contain
  a java.lang.StackOverflowError. This can still happen even if
  all the alerts are deleted.
  

Local fix

• If it is acceptable to lose all the alerts, the workaround is to
  stop the CAEServer, delete the whole bbdb directory (not
  individual files), then restart the CAE Server.
