  WebSphere Application Server includes the Equinox OSGi
  framework, which manages relationships between installed
  "bundles" on the server. In some cases, bundles attempt to
  dynamically import packages from other bundles, and the
  resolution process is inefficient, causing threads to move
  very slowly (presenting to the user as either slow performance
  or hangs).  If thread stacks are inspected, the top of the
  relevant thread(s) will include method calls with the string
  "Dynamic" - in particular,
  org/eclipse/osgi/internal/module/ResolverImpl.resolveDynamicImpo
  rt.
  

Problem conclusion

• Eclipse bug 337371, which improves the efficiency of dynamic
  bundle resolution, was integrated into the Equinox framework
  packaged in WebSphere Application Server.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.7.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
